Fender Studio Pro 8 compatibility

We have released new installers for Fender Studio Pro 8 and Presonus Studio One v5-7, for Impact series, Panorama series and Pacer controllers. You can find the latest installers on the 'My Account' page of the Nektar website. If you have and Aruba controller please contact support@nektartech.com.

We would recommend running the uninstaller for the older Studio One integration before running the new installer. If you have trouble with the uninstaller, you can find manual uninstall instructions below.

MacOS

Close any applications you have open
Open a Finder window
Open the ‘Go’ menu at the top of the screen
With the Go menu open, hold the Alt/Option key on your keyboard
Select ‘Library’ from the Go menu
In the Finder window, open the ‘Application Support’ folder
Open the ‘Presonus’ folder
Open the ‘Studio One 7’ folder
Open the ‘User Devices’ folder
Right-click on the ‘Nektar’ folder and select Delete
Go back to the ‘Application Support’ folder
Open the ‘Fender’ folder
Open the ‘Studio Pro 8’ folder
Open the ‘User Devices’ folder
Right-click on the ‘Nektar’ folder, if it's present and select Delete

Windows

Close any applications you have open
Open a File Explorer
Navigate to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 7\User Devices*
Delete the ‘Nektar’ folder
Go back to the ‘Roaming’ folder
Open the ‘Fender’ folder
Open the ‘Studio Pro 8’ folder
Open the ‘User Devices’ folder
Delete the ‘Nektar’ folder if it's present

*Note: This is a hidden directory. To access this directory you will need to configure Windows to ‘Show Hidden Files and Folders’ and deactivate ‘Hide Protected Operating System files’. Please follow the instructions on this page: Show hidden files.

Once you have done that, the controller should be detected and configured in Fender Studio, automatically.

Troubleshooting in Windows: Panorama P Series

In some cases Windows may not associate Panorama with its driver correctly. Panorama may be recognized by your computer as a Class Compliant USB MIDI device but your DAW won't be able to Auto-Detect it.

Windows 10
Windows 7 and Vista

Windows 10 and 11

Follow these steps:

Open the search bar and type 'Device Manager' (Image 1).
Select device manager from the top of the search results.
With Device manager open click on the '>' icon next to Sound, video and game controllers.
Now right click on Nektar Panorama P1/P4/P6 and select 'Update Driver Software...' (Image 2).
Choose 'Browse my computer for driver software' (Image 3).
Click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' (Image 4).
Select 'Nektar Technology USB MIDI', 'Nektar Panorama P1' or 'Nektar Panorama P6' then click 'Next' (image 5) .
Note: If you see more than version listed on this page, choose the most recent one.

Thats it. Panorama should now be detected by your DAW. If you're still having trouble please check the links below or contact one of our support staff.

Windows 10 MIDI port issue

We have seen an issue with some Windows 10 20H2 installations, especially on computers with Intel Tiger Lake processors. The problem seems to affect a lot of class compliant USB MIDI and Audio devices.

We have had some reports that simply running the automatic update utility in Windows will fix the problem but that doesn't seem to work for everyone.

You can check the Device Manager for a device called 'Intel Smart Sound For USB Audio' and disable it:

Right-click on the Windows button in the lower-left corner of your screen.
Select 'Device Manager'.
Expand the 'Sound, Video and Game controllers' category.
If you see a device called 'Intel Smart Sound For USB Audio', right click on it and select 'Disable'.

Once you have done that, restart your computer with the controller connected. Applications should be able to see the controller's ports at that point.

Windows 7 and Vista

Open the Start Menu and right-click on 'Computer'.
Click 'Properties'.
Click 'Device Manager'.
Click on the '+' next to Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
Right-Click on 'Panorama P*' and select 'Update Driver Software' (where * represents the Panorama model you are using).
Click 'Browse my computer for driver software'.
Click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'.
Select 'Nektar Technology USB MIDI'.
Click 'OK'.
Note: If you see more than version listed on this page, choose the most recent one.
Now open Reason and use the Auto-Detect button in the Control Surface preferences.

After a few seconds, both of Panorama's control surfaces should be detected by Reason.

Studio One 4 and above with original LX/iX controllers

Nektar products are compatible with Studio One 4 and above. The latest installers for the Impact GX, LX+, and SE25/SE49 controllers can be found on your account page.

Please follow the instructions below if you are using an original Impact LX or iX controller.

Original Impact Manual Installation Instructions - Windows

Original Impact Presonus - Windows

Copy the 'Nektar' folder from the .zip file above and paste it into the following directory, as appropriate for your version:

C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 4\devices
or
C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 5\devices

Once you have done that, your Impact controller will be detected automatically the next time you start Studio One.

Original Impact Manual Installation Instructions - OSX

Right-click on the Studio One application.
Select 'Show package contents'.
Open the 'Contents' folder.
Copy the 'Nektar' folder from the .zip linked above and paste it into the 'devices' folder.

Once you have done that, your Impact controller will be detected automatically the next time you start Studio One.
