Please make sure that you have updated your controller’s firmware and then follow these steps:

1. Plug-in your Panorama T-series controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
2. Launch Pro Tools and create a Project, or open an existing one.
3. Go to the ‘Setup’ menu.
4. Select ‘Peripherals…’.
5. In the Window that appears, select the ‘MIDI Controllers’ tab.
6. For ‘Type’ select ‘M-Audio Keyboard’.
7. For ‘MIDI Input’, select ‘MIDIIN2 (PanoramaT*) [Emulated]’ in Windows (image 1) or ‘PanoramaT* Mixer’ in MacOS (image 2).
8. For ‘MIDI Output’, select ‘ MIDIOUT2 (PanoramaT*) [Emulated]’ in Windows (image 1) or ‘ PanoramaT* Mixer’ in MacOS (image 2).
9. Click ‘OK’ to close the Control Surface Setup window.
10. Press both [Octave] buttons on the T-series for the Global menu (image 3).
11. Turn the encoder labeled ‘DAWCTL’ to select ‘PTOOLS’ (image 4).
12. Press the [Mixer] button.
13. Press the [Play] button on the T-series controller.
14. Playback should now start in Pro Tools.

Controlling Instrument Parameters
It’s possible to assign the controls to instrument parameters in Pro Tools, when the T-series controller is in Internal Mode. Many of the AIR instruments and third-part plug-ins have a ‘Learn’ function.

For example, if you right-click on a parameter in the ‘XPand 2’ plug-in you will see menu with assignment options, as shown in this image. Select ‘Learn CC’ then move a fader or encoder on your T-series keyboard. That parameter should now be controlled by the pot.

If you encounter the warning shown in in this image, it is because the Impact series keyboards are not M-Audio keyboards. Simply click the ‘Don’t show this again’ option and then click ‘OK’.

The T series controller will emulate a MCU controller, for Mixer and Transport functions. Just make sure that you have updated your controller’s firmware and then follow these steps:

1. Plug-in your Panorama T series controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
2. Launch Live.
3. Go to the ‘Live’ menu in MacOS or the ‘Options’ menu in Windows.
4. Select ‘Preferences…’
5. Select the ‘Link/MIDI’ page.
6. Select ‘MackieControl’ from the Control Surface list.
7. For ‘Input’, select ‘PanoramaT* (Port 2)’ in Windows or ‘PanoramaT* (Mixer)’ in OS X.
8. For ‘Output’, select ‘PanoramaT* (Port 2)’ in Windows or ‘PanoramaT* (Mixer)’ in OS X. (Images 1 and 2)
9. Close the Preferences window
10. Press both [Octave] buttons on the T series for the Global menu (Image 3)
11. Turn the encoder labeled ‘DAWCTL’ to select ‘MCU’ (Image 4)
12. Press the [Mixer] button
13. Press the [Play] button on the T series controller.
14. Playback should now start in Live.

The T series controller will emulate a MCU (Mackie Control Universal) controller, for Mixer and Transport functions. Just make sure that you have updated your controller’s firmware and then follow these steps:

1. Plug-in your Panorama T series controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
2. Launch FL Studio.
3. Go to the ‘Options’ menu.
4. Select ‘MIDI Settings’.
5. In the ‘Output’ section, set the Port number to 90 for ‘MIDIOUT2 (PanoramaT*)’ in Windows or ‘PanoramaT* Mixer’ in OS X
   In the ‘Input’ section, enable ‘Panorama T4’ in Windows or ‘PanoramaT* Internal’ in OS X.
6. Also in the ‘Input section, enable the ‘MIDIOUT2 (PanoramaT*)’ in Windows or ‘PanoramaT* Mixer’ in OS X, set the ‘Controller Type’ to Mackie Control Universal and set the Port number to 90.
7. Close the MIDI Settings window.
8. Press both [Octave] buttons on the T series for the Global menu.
9. Turn the encoder labeled ‘DAWCTL’ to select ‘MCU’
10. Press the [Mixer] button.
11. Press the [Play] button on the T series controller.

Playback should now start in FL Studio.

1. Click on the Bitwig symbol at the top of the window
2. Select the ‘Settings’ tab at the top of the home window.
3. Go to the ‘Synchronization’ page.
4. Activate the ‘Clock’ button for your controller’s first output port.
5. If you are using Aura, also activate the ‘SPP’ button (Song Playback Position).

1. In MacOS – Open the ‘Reason’ menu. In Windows – Open the ‘Edit’ menu.
2. Select ‘Preferences’.
3. Go to the ‘Sync’ tab.
4. Set the ‘Output’ in the MIDI Clock Sync section to your controller’s first output port.
5. Close the Preferences window.
6. Click the ‘Send Clock’ button in Reason’s Transport.

1. Open the ‘Studio One’ menu.
2. In MacOS – Select ‘Preferences’. In Windows – Select ‘Options’.
3. Go to the ‘External Devices’ tab.
4. Click the ‘Add…’ button.
5. From the list on the left, select ‘New Instrument’.
6. Select your controller’s first output port from the ‘Send To’ list. (If you encounter a message which indicates that then port is already in use, just click ‘OK’)
7. Tick the ‘Send MIDI Clock’ option.
8. Tick the ‘Use MIDI Clock Start’ option.
9. Click ‘OK’.

1. Open the ‘File’ menu.
2. Select ‘Project Settings’.
3. Select ‘Synchronization’.
4. Go to the ‘MIDI’ page.
5. Set a Destination slot to your controller’s first output port.
6. Tick the ‘Clock’ option.
7. Tick the ‘PDC’ option.

1. Open the ‘Transport’ menu.
2. Select ‘Project Syncronization Setup…’.
3. In the window that appears, go to the ‘Destinations’ tab.
4. Tick the box for your controller’s first output port, in the ‘MIDI Clock Destination’ section.
5. If you are using Aura, Tick the ‘MIDI Clock Follows Project Position’ box.
6. Tick the ‘Always Send Start Message’ box.
7. Tick the ‘Send MIDI Clock in Stop Mode’ box.

1. Open the ‘Options’ menu.
2. Select ‘Preferences…’.
3. In the window that appears, go to the ‘MIDI Devices’ page.
4. Double-click on the name of your controller’s first output port.
5. Tick the ‘Enable output to this device’ box.
6. Tick the ‘Send Clock to this device’ box.
7. Click ‘OK’

3. In the window that appears, select your Nektar controller’s first port from the ‘Transmit Beat clock..’ option.
4. Click ‘Done’ at the bottom of the ‘Preferences’ window.

1. Download the ‘Panorama_T4_T6_Reason_Support’ file from your Account page after registering your product.
2. Run the ‘Panorama_T4_T6_Reason_Support’ installer from that file and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Plug-in your Panorama T-series controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
4. Launch Reason.
5. Open the ‘Edit’ menu.
6. Select ‘Preferences’.
7. Select the ‘Control Surfaces’ tab.
8. Click ‘Auto-detect surfaces’.
9. After a few moments of scanning, you should now see two control surfaces populated in the Control Surfaces window (Image 2-4 for MacOS, Images 5-9 for Windows).
10. One is named ‘Nektar Panorama T-Series’ and the other is named ‘Nektar Panorama T-Series Mixer Mode’.
11. Make sure both control surfaces are ticked ‘Use with Reason’.
12. Close the Preferences menu.

Surface Locking
In order to control Mixer parameters from Panorama T-series Mixer Mode, follow these steps:

1. In Reason, open the ‘Options’ menu.
2. Select ‘Surface Locking’. You should see the window shown in Image 4 for MacOS and Image 9 for Windows.
3. Set the ‘Surface’ option to ‘Nektar Panorama T-Series Mixer Mode’.
4. Set the ‘Lock to device’ option to ‘Master Section’ (alternately, you can choose Remix 14:2, Remix 6:2 or even the ReGroove Mixer).

Now when the controller is in Mixer Mode, (press the Mixer button) you will have control over Mixer parameters.

Make sure Reaper is already installed on your computer. If not, please install Reaper first and open it at least once, before running the installer for Nektar DAW integration software.

1. Download the ‘Panorama_T4_T6_Reaper_Support’ file from your Account page after registering your product.
2. Run the ‘Panorama_T4_T6_Reaper_Support’ installer and follow the onscreen instructions.
   Plug in your Panorama T-series controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
3. Launch Reaper and open the ‘Options’ menu.
4. Select ‘Preferences’.
5. In the ‘Preferences’ window, select ‘Control/OSC/Web’. (Image 1)
6. Click ‘Add’. (Image 1)
7. In the pop-up window, select your Panorama T-series model in the ‘Control surface mode’ list. As long as your controller is connected and switched on, Reaper should automatically detect the correct ports. (See Image 2 for MacOS setup and Image 6 for Windows).
8. Click ‘OK’.
9. In the ‘Preferences’ window, select ‘MIDI Devices’ from the Audio category.
10. Enable ‘Panorama T*’ (Windows) or ‘Nektar Technology – Panorama T* – Internal’ (MacOS) for your T-series controller. The mode should be ‘Enable+Control’. The other two T-series ports should remain disabled. (See Image 3 for MacOS setup and Image 7 for Windows).
11. Click ‘Apply’.
12. Click ‘OK’.

That’s it, setup is now complete and you can move on to the fun part, learning how it all works!

Currently Nektar controllers will operate as generic MIDI devices when running Reaper, as native applications on M1 based Apple computers.

You can run these DAWs in an Intel Mac emulation layer called Rosetta and our support software for those applications will work. Please follow these steps:

1. Open a Finder window.
2. Select ‘Applications’ from the list on the left side of the window.
3. Right-click on the Reaper app and select ‘Get Info…’.
4. Tick the ‘Open in Rosetta’ option.
5. Close the Info window.
6. Start the DAW.

After extracting the DAW support package (as shown in images 1 and 2) which you downloaded from your Nektar account, you will find a folder called ‘T4-T6_Firmware’ inside. This folder contains the files needed to update your Nektar device’s operating system.

1. Start your controller in update mode. To do so, hold the button below the 9th fader and [Shift] when turning the controller on. The display will be blank. (Image 3)
2. Start nkupdate. You will find nkupdateTP1_v1.5.2.0.exe inside the NKupdate folder. (Image 4)
3. The firmware update app nkupdate should now say “OK Nektar unit is connected in firmware update mode”. (Image 5)
4. Press the ‘Load’ button in nkupdate. (Image 5)
5. Find the file named ‘Panorama_T*_FW_….bin’. (* represents 4 or 6, depending on the model you are using). (Image 6)
6. Select the firmware and click ‘Open’. The updater window will report “OK Correct firmware file loaded”. (Image 7)
7. Click the ‘Program’ button to begin the update process. Once complete, you get the message “OK Programming and verification successful!” (Image 8)
8. Close the firmware updater app.

If this is your first time updating the controller’s firmware, please restore the default settings.

1. Turn the controller off power off.
2. Hold the [Browse] and [View] buttons while turning the controller back on.
3. After a moment, a message will appear which indicates that the default settings are being restored.
4. Release the [Browse] and [View] buttons.

When you open the DAW support package which you downloaded from your Nektar account, you will find a disk image called ‘T4-T6_Firmware.dmg’ inside. This disk image contains the files needed to update your Nektar device’s operating system. (Images 1 and 2)

1. Start Panorama in update mode. To do so, hold the button below the 9th fader and [Shift] when turning the controller on. The display will be blank. (Image 3)
2. Start nkupdate.
3. The firmware update app nkupdate should now say “OK Nektar unit is connected in firmware update mode”. (Image 4)
4. Click the Load button in nkupdate. (Image 4)
5. In the Finder window that appears you will see ’T4-T6_Firmware’ listed under Locations, in the Side Bar. Select that, so you can see the firmware files. Find the file named ‘Panorama_T*_FW_….bin’. (* represents 4 or 6, depending on the model you are using). (Image 5)
6. Select the firmware file and click ‘Open’. The updater window will report “OK Correct firmware file loaded”. (Image 6)
7. Click ‘Program’ button to begin the update process. (Image 7) Once complete, you should get the message “OK Programming and verification successful!”. (Image 8)
8. Close the firmware updater app. (Image 9)

If this is your first time updating the controller’s firmware, please restore the default settings.

1. Turn the controller off power off. Hold the [Browse] and [View] buttons while turning the controller back on.

You can find the installer needed to use your Panorama T-series controller Panorama controller with Bitwig Studio and Bitwig 8-Track, on your Nektar account page. If you have not already created an account and registered your controller, please follow the instructions on this page: Getting Started with Nektar

Nektar’s Bitwig integration is known to work in the latest versions of Windows, OS X and Ubuntu. For access to files needed to use your T-series controller with Bitwig in Linux, please contact support.

1. Run the ‘Panorama_T4T6_Bitwig_Support’ installer.
2. Plug in your Panorama T-series controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
3. Launch Bitwig Studio. Your Nektar controller should be detected automatically. (Image 1)
4. Go to Files > Settings > Controllers to confirm that your Nektar controller is listed.
5. Check the port configuration matches that of images 2 (OS X) or 3 (Windows).
6. Click ‘OK’ and exit Device Setup.

That’s it, setup is now complete and you can move on to the fun part, learning how it all works! Please refer to the user guide for further information on that front.

If Impact isn’t detected automatically, try adding the controller manually. The controller’s ports should be configured as shown in images 2 and 3, above.

If you don’t see your Impact controller listed under ‘Nektar’ when you click the ‘Add Controller’ button, make sure that you have run the latest version of our Bitwig support installer. The file can be found on your Nektar account page.

If you have deleted a Panorama T-series controller in the past and are trying to set it up again, it will not be added automatically. You will need to click the ‘+’ button as shown in image 4.

1. Download the ‘Panorama_T4T6_Steinberg_Support’ file from your Account page after registering your product.
2. Run the ‘Panorama_T4T6_Steinberg_Support’ installer and follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Plug in your controller and make sure it’s switched on (if you didn’t do so already).
4. Launch Cubase.
5. In Cubase 10 or later, open the ‘Studio’ menu.
6. Select ‘Studio Setup…’.
7. Select ‘MIDI Port Setup’.
   Note: In Cubase 9 or below the menu path is: Devices > Device Setup… > MIDI Port Setup.
8. Un-tick the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ports in the “In ‘All MIDI’” column. These ports are called ‘Panorama T* Mixer’, ‘Panorama T* Instrument’ and ‘Panorama T* Plugin’ in OS X (Image 1) and ‘MIDIIN2 (Panorama T*)’, ‘MIDIIN3 (Panorama T*) and ‘MIDIIN4 (Panorama T*)’ (Image 3) in Windows
9. Next check that controller appears in the Remote Devices list (Image 2 and Image 4)
10. Click ‘OK’ and exit Device Setup.

Automatic Track Selection
By default, when you move a control which is associated with a specific track, that track will become selected. If you want to disable this behavior, uncheck the ‘Enable Auto Select’ option as shown in the images 2 and 4, above.

Smart Switch Delay
The Smart Switch Delay setting changes the behavior of switch/button controls depending on how long the button is held. When set to anything other than ‘Off’ it may appear that some button functions are unresponsive, when the button is held for too long.

Duplicate Track/Channel Names
Check your project for tracks and Mixer channels with the same name and rename any duplicate tracks. If Panorama encounters two tracks or mixer channels with the same name, the track selection can get out of sync with what you see in Cubase.

Fader 9 controls only a small range of the Master Volume
In projects created with Cubase 9.0.30, if you move the 9th fader while holding the button below that fader, you will only be able to control the Master Volume parameter over a small range. This issue was fixed in Cubase 9.5 but the issue will still occur when you open a project that was made in Cubase 9.0.30. Projects made in newer versions of Cubase will not exhibit this problem.

In Cubase 8 and above, Input channels can be controlled from Impact’s Mixer Mode, where they could not be controlled in earlier versions of Cubase. This can result in unpredictable track selection when using the [<Track] and [Track >] functions. To fix this problem, simply hide Input channels in the MixConsole as shown in the image 5.

7. For ‘MIDI Input’, select ‘MIDIIN2 (PanoramaT*)-1’ in Windows or ‘PanoramaT* Mixer-1’ in OS X.
8. For ‘MIDI Output’, select ‘ MIDIOUT2 (PanoramaT*)’ in Windows or ‘ PanoramaT* Mixer’ in OS X. (Images 2 and 3)
9. Click ‘OK’ to close the Control Surface Setup window.
10. Press both [Octave] buttons on the T-series for the Global menu. (Image 4)
11. Turn the encoder labeled ‘DAWCTL’ to select ‘MCU’. (Image 5)
12. Press the [Mixer] button.
13. Press the [Play] button on the T-series controller.
14. Playback should now start in Digital Performer.
