To send the sysex data to Pacer, use Sysex Librarian (OS X) or Bome’s Send SX (Windows).

The sysex data will be loaded as the ‘Current’ preset. You can then save the settings to any of Pacer’s preset slots. If you don’t save the preset, the settings will be lost the next time you select a different user preset.

1. With Pacer in Preset Mode, turn the Data Encoder to select ‘SAVE’, then press the Encoder Button.
2. The 5-character display will say ‘STORE’, press the Encoder button.
3. Turn the data encoder to select the Preset slot, to which you would like to save this preset, then press the Encoder button.

This Preset makes use of H&K GrandMeister’s ability to be completely MIDI-controlled, with a focus on Tone Controls.

The Factory Preset D1 for the GrandMeister gives you access to channel and FX-switching, with this optional preset you will be able to set all tone controls by foot. So you might want to use both in conjunction. Setup with the GrandMeister is easy: plug a MIDI cable in and you are good to go. You will need 2 expression pedals and 2 optional foot switches to make full use of this preset.

The Preset will give you access to GrandMeister channel switching as well as the gain, tone, presence and reverb on/off controls. With the stomps [1]-[5] you map the respective front panel knob to [Exp Pedal 2] for control. [Exp Pedal 1] is set up to control volume, and with [FS1] and [FS2] you can switch GrandMeister presets (limited to 0-9, but of course you can extend the range if you require more).

Optional User Preset for Marshall Code series 100H.

Marshall’s Code 100H has full MIDI remote control capabilities, so Pacer can be used to control amp settings and preset selection.

Setup requires you to either connect Pacer via a DAW (Track MIDI In: Pacer / MIDI Out: Marshall), or via a USB MIDI Host device (such as Kenton Electronics’ “MIDI USB HOST MKII” for instance). In this case, you connect Pacer’s MIDI Out to the MIDI In of the MIDI USB Host, and the device’s USB connector to Marshall’s mini USB socket on the front panel.

The Preset will switch the Code 100H effect blocks on an off as well as assign [Exp Pedal 1] to matching parameters such as Volume when you press stomp [2] for Amp On/Off first, or Reverb Mix, when you press stomp [5] first. Preset browsing is possible using [FS1] and [FS2].

Optional Preset for Yamaha Genos Digital Arranger Workstation (Footswitch Style Control)

Yamaha’s Genos Arranger Workstation has a great MIDI-Implementation: So you can assign a host of functions to be controlled from Pacer so you keep your hands free for playing.

This preset will allow you to control Start/Stop, Fills, Fades, Variations, Ending and Volume.

Stomp [1] controls start and stop, stomp [2] triggers Fill In 1, [3] and [4] control Variation Fill down / up and Stomp [5] starts the Fade. Stomp [6] is assigned to the tap tempo function. If you connect [FS1] and [FS2], you additionally get access to triggering Ending 1 and 2.

[EXPRESSION PEDAL 1] is assigned to Volume, [EXPRESSION PEDAL 2] to the user assignable parameter which is defined as CC01 by Yamaha.
